Who are we?
Cotswold Ensemble players are versatile, experienced, professionally-qualified, classically-trained musicians, specialising in string quartet and string duo music for weddings and special events, in the Cotswolds of Gloucestershire & Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.
We are "people people" - also accompanists, orchestral players, and instrument teachers in schools.
We are "do-ers" who enjoy being out and about, playing for weddings and other celebrations. We like the challenges of providing live music in diverse, even unusual, places.
Why hire a Cotswold Ensemble String Quartet?
Acoustic string quartets (two violins, one viola, one cello) have a huge range of high-quality music for church and civil weddings, receptions, celebratory parties, corporate events & conferences. The Cotswold Ensemble string quartet's repertoire of classical music and classic pops extends from before Bach to well beyond the Beatles, into the 21st century. Classical music and jazzy arrangements of Broadway standards are our speciality. We can arrange and adapt sheet music for our clients' ceremony needs. We also have an acoustic tango string quartet for lively evening events.
For events with fewer guests or in smaller spaces, our Cotswold Ensemble string duos (violin & cello) provide Baroque, Classical and Romantic music and our unique arrangements of 20th & 21st century classic pops.
